Divers have found another 5 passengers in the cabin of the sunken ferry - after rescuing a 65-year-old woman - and they are continuing their rescue operation.
Rescuers pulled a 65-year-old woman to safety from waters near the upturned passenger ship, Dongfangzhixing (Eastern Star). The rescue took place at 12:52 pm on June 2.
The ship, carrying 458 people, capsized and sank at around 9:28 pm on June 1 in the Hubei section of the river, according to Hubei provincial government emergency office.
Premier Li Keqiang was organizing the search and rescue work from a command ship 50-60 meters away from the capsized vessel.
