Premier Li: capacity collaboration will help world economy recover

Premier Li Keqiang has said pushing forward China’s capacity collaboration with Latin America is a significant aim of his visit. He made the remarks during a speech at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) on May 25. Li said in a globalized world, different nations are playing different roles in the business chain where they can work together through capacity cooperation to push forward the global economic recovery.

Premier Li Keqiang said Latin America is the rising high point in global politics and economy. He made the remarks while explaining China’s foreign policy toward Latin America during a speech at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) on May 25. Executive Secretary of UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Alicia Barcena and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet were at the event.

Premier Li Keqiang’s speech at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean on May 25 received prolonged applause. Executive Secretary of UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Alicia Barcena cited Chilean poet Pablo Neruda’s poem to congratulate Li’s speech.

Premier Li mentions four pillars for China-Latin America partnership

Premier Li Keqiang has said China is willing to deepen cooperation with Latin America to start a new comprehensive and cooperative partnership. Li said the two sides should build four pillars for the partnership: consolidate traditional friendship and mutual political trust; push forward the upgrading of economic cooperation; promote cultural exchanges; and improve the overall cooperation mechanism.
