BEIJING — Premier Li Keqiang met with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on Nov 10, calling for the two sides to further their cooperation.

Li said the Chinese government supports construction of the industrial parks in China’s Qinzhou and Malaysia’s Kuantan and encourages Chinese enterprises to invest in Malaysia.

He said China is willing to actively participate in the railway construction in Malaysia.

China will deepen financial cooperation with Malaysia, Li said. The two countries have just signed a renminbi clearing settlement agreement during Najib’s visit.

Najib said Malaysia welcomes China to set up a renminbi clearing bank in its capital Kuala Lumpur and is willing to expand bilateral cooperation in economy and trade, investment, financing and infrastructure construction.

Najib is in Beijing to attend the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
