On Sept 18, Premier Li Keqiang visited the comprehensive service hall of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone. When the official in charge said that private enterprises and state-owned ones are treated equally within the zone, Li said that the principle of fair competition also applies to foreign funded enterprises within the free trade zone. He urged the local authorities to ensure that foreign funded enterprises and domestic funded ones enjoy the same rights and equal treatment within the zone.
