Premier Li Keqiang met with the foreign experts who received the 2018 Friendship Award granted by the Chinese government, and their families, in Beijing on Sept 30.
Premier Li congratulated the honored experts, and praised their efforts to boost China’s economic and social development, and to enhance China’s communication with other countries in all fields. He also conveyed his greetings to all the foreign experts working in China and their families.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up policy. China’s determination for upholding reform and opening-up will not waver, and its door will only open wider, said the Premier.
He said China will further relax the market access, conduct fair and just oversight system, secure the fair competition of all kinds of ownership enterprises, and make efforts to build up an open, transparent, stable and predictable market and law-enforcement climate for domestic and overseas enterprises and talents.
The Premier said foreign talents and intelligences is an important part of China’s innovation systems, and the country welcomes more foreign experts coming to China to play a bigger role in China’s innovation development.
He said he expects the domestics and overseas talents could work together to promote global technological innovation, progress of civilization and the sound development of economic globalization.
He said China will implement a more positive, open and effective talent-introducing policy, while providing better service and guarantee. More measures will be released to facilitate foreigners who work and live in China, such as online service and cards with multiple functions.
The honored foreign experts offered their gratitude to the Chinese government and Premier Li, saying they are ready to make continuous contributions to China’s development and progress of human civilization.
Along with their families, they attended the reception for the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of Premier Li.
Vice-Premier Han Zheng, State Councilor Wang Yi also attended the meeting.
