State Council’s Party group vows stricter intra-Party supervision

Premier Li Keqiang hosted a meeting of the Party Members’ Group of the State Council which called for stricter internal supervision, following regulations on the norms of political life within the Party and intra-Party supervisions proposed by the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC.

According to the meeting, all departments of the State Council should put the decisions and regulations announced by the Sixth Plenary Session into practice, maintain political discipline and improve the supervision mechanism of political power to cultivate a diligent and honest team of civil servants.

The meeting also called to maintain the Party’s authority, unity and unified leadership with President Xi Jinping as the core leader of CPC.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, ministries and departments under the State Council and local governments have been carrying out continuous efforts under the leadership of the CPC to strictly deepen the reform of opening-up and innovation-driven development strategy, stabilizing economic performance and improving people’s wellbeing, said the meeting.

The meeting also urged all departments under the State Council to fully carry out supply-side reform and proactively promote structural adjustment and upgrading in an effort to boost economic growth drivers’ transformation and provide better service to people.

In addition, it also called for a good start of the 13th-five-year plan through promoting a more efficient economic and social development measures.
