Premier Li Keqiang will pay an official visit to Mongolia on July 13, said Kong Xuanyou, assistant minister of Foreign Affairs, on July 11.
It will be his first visit to the country since Premier Li assumed office and the first visit to Mongolia by a Chinese Premier in six years, Kong said.
During the visit, Premier Li will attend the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit in Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian capital, from July 15 to 16.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of ASEM. The meeting was inaugurated in 1996 in Bangkok. The subject of this year’s summit is “20 years of ASEM, Cooperation for the Future”.
