The new era of internet technologies has profoundly changed the world and China has to take this opportunity to develop science and technology and build a better future, said Premier Li Keqiang on May 25 at the China Big Data Industry Summit & China E-commerce Innovation and Development Summit in Guiyang, capital of southwest China’s Guizhou province.

Premier Li also said that a sharing economy can effectively lower the threshold for entrepreneurship and innovation and make use of idle resources to form new growth points that will inject strong momentum into the economy.

Everyone can participate in and gain benefits from the sharing economy. It is conducive to promoting social justice and fairness, he added.

The Premier said that the innovation concept represented by the big data industry and the craftsman spirit inspired by traditional industry should be combined to promote economic development.

The Premier urged the integrative development of the virtual and real worlds, reshaping supply and value chains for industries, boosting the development of new driving forces and upgrading traditional engines to achieve middle- to high-speed economic growth.
