Premier Li Keqiang meets Mozambican president

China supports the effort made by Mozambique to safeguard national security and promote national reconciliation, and is willing to help Mozambique to develop its economy and improve people’s living standards, said Premier Li Keqiang.

He made the remarks when meeting with Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi in Beijing on May 19.

Acknowledging the stable ties between the two countries, Premier Li pointed out that there is a good foundation for practical cooperation. China supports its enterprises to participate in infrastructure construction in Mozambique and cooperation in energy and resources between the two countries, said the Premier.

The Premier also called for industrial production capacity cooperation with Mozambique.

Hailing the deepening friendly partnership between the two countries, Nyusi said that Mozambique appreciates China’s support and assistance with its national independence and social and economic development, and hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields.
