Premier Li Keqiang met with Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, who is also chairman of the Kingdom Holding Co, a Saudi Arabian company, on May 18 in Beijing.

Premier Li said that China, as a big developing country, has a long way to go in modernization. China has to stick to its reform and opening-up policy and promote reform based on opening-up, he said.

China welcomes foreign enterprises to come and invest in China and bring capital, technologies and advanced management ideology, the Premier said. China will continue to build the most attractive investment destinations for foreign enterprises, he added.

We will treat all enterprises registered in China equally and create a fair competitive environment, no matter where they were founded, Premier Li said.

He also said that China has a large population and consumption is on the rise. Consumption and service industry have played a pivotal role in promoting economic growth.

While developing new types of service industry, China is also improving the traditional industry, especially the manufacturing industry, which has created new market opportunities, the Premier said. “I believe foreign businesses will have stable market expectations and due rewards through investment in China,” he added.

Al-Waleed said that the strategic China-Saudi Arabia relationship has provided a solid foundation for the two countries to pursue cooperation. Saudi enterprises are willing to enhance cooperation with excellent Chinese companies and expand investment cooperation in every field.
