Premier Li Keqiang on April 15 congratulated Sooronbai Jeenbekov on being approved by the Kyrgyz parliament as the country’s prime minister.

Premier Li, in a congratulatory message, highly commented on the development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations and positive achievements in cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

He said China is ready to make efforts with Kyrgyzstan to jointly promote China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation toward achievement of new successes in the interest of the two peoples.

Kyrgyzstan’s parliament on April 13 unanimously endorsed a new government led by Jeenbekov after former Prime Minister Temir Sariyev resigned on April 11 amid corruption allegations.
