Premier Li Keqiang expressed on March 24 his deep condolences to the victims of the bomb attacks in Brussels, stressing that China firmly opposes terrorism in all forms.

Premier Li made the statement at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in South China’s Hainan province, an event in which Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel should have participated.

Chinese Foreign Ministry on March 23 announced that Michel had canceled his planned visit to China in order to deal with emergency affairs in Belgium.

At least 34 people were killed in two attacks in Brussels International Airport and on a rush-hour subway train in the Belgian capital on March 22.
