Premier Li Keqiang presided over a meeting of the leading Party Members’ Group of the State Council on Jan 13 to learn President Xi Jinping’s speech delivered at the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection a day earlier, and made further arrangements for the government’s anti-graft campaign.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee, led by the President, has made obvious achievements in anti-corruption fight, said the meeting.
The meeting decided that the leading Party Members’ Group of the State Council will speed up the transformation of government functions, boost the building of a clean government and continuously promote reforms of streamlining administration and delegating power, combining power delegation with supervision as well as optimizing services.
The leading group will help make efficient use of public funds and punish any behavior violating laws and disciplines, said the meeting.
The meeting decided to deepen reform to fight corruption from its roots, and take various measures to safeguard financial security, to improve systems to manage public funds and resources, and reinforce the accountability system.
Others attending included Vice-Premiers Zhang Gaoli, Liu Yandong, Wang Yang and Ma Kai and State Councilors Yang Jing, Chang Wanquan, Yang Jiechi, Guo Shengkun and Wang Yong.
