Premier Li Keqiang on Nov 24 hailed the rapid trade growth between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, saying it shows deep political trust and potential for cooperation.

Premier Li made the remarks in the opening speech of the fifth China and Central and Eastern European Countries Economic and Trade Forum, which was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

Last year, trade volume between China and CEE countries exceeded $60 billion.

“Six, a lucky number in China, symbolizes much smoother economic and trade relations between the two sides,” Premier Li said.

“The rapid increase also heralds huge cooperation potential in trade and investment between China and CEE countries,” he added.
