The Communist Party of China’s flagship magazine Qiushi (Seeking Truth) Journal will publish an article by Premier Li Keqiang in its latest issue on Oct 16 calling for efforts to promote economic development.

New technological and administrative concepts should be adopted for the economy to move toward a medium-high level of development, the article says, we should think more of the new rounds of economic and technological revolution and productivity development.

The article urges the taking of effective measures to achieve the goal for the economy to move toward a medium-high level of development, for example, integrating the Internet with traditional industries to promote industry upgrading and fueling economic growth.

The article also attaches great importance to the relationship between boosting mass entrepreneurship and innovation and upgrading the economy. It says enhancing innovation capability is key to new economic development.

The article, entitled “New Impetus to Upgrade Economy”, is based on a speech concerning advanced manufacturing and 3D printing delivered by Premier Li at a State Council meeting on Aug 21.
