Premier Li meets new diplomatic envoys in Beijing

Premier Li Keqiang met with new diplomatic envoys from 27 countries at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Sept 30, where he stressed that China is willing to strengthen friendship and cooperation with other countries and work jointly with them to advance the peace and development of mankind.

Premier Li welcomed the new diplomatic envoys and asked them to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to their state leaders.

Speaking on international relations, he noted that China attached great importance to developing ties with countries throughout the world and is willing to strengthen political mutual trust, expand pragmatic cooperation and have a closer coordination and cooperation in international as well as regional affairs.

He talked about the recovery of the world economy and said that China will strengthen coordination with other countries on macro policies of strategic development and carry out international capacity cooperation to drive the world economy.

The Premier stressed that China will firmly follow the road of peaceful development and is willing to maintain peace and international order, which were established after World War II.

He also said that he hopes the new diplomatic envoys will make contributions to further friendship and cooperation between their countries and China.

The new diplomatic envoys conveyed their state leaders’ cordial greetings to the Chinese people and leaders ahead of China’s National Day and spoke highly of China’s development.

Relations with China is their diplomatic priority and they feel honored to work in China, the diplomatic envoys added.

They also said that they are keenly aware of the great responsibility of their work and will make unceasing efforts to promote bilateral relations and strengthen friendship and cooperation with China.
