Premier Li Keqiang sent a congratulatory message on Sept 15 to Malcolm Turnbull, who was sworn in as prime minister of Australia.

In the message, Premier Li said that the relationship between China and Australia is getting a new start, and that he greatly appreciates Turnbull’s attention to China-Australia ties and support for bilateral cooperation.

Li said that China is willing to work with Australia to take advantage of the China-Australia Premiers’ regular annual meeting and bilateral exchange mechanism.

The two important countries in Asia will also work together in promoting deeper trust, expanded cooperation, and multilateral communication to better benefit the people and enhance regional development, said Li.
