Premier Li speaks by phone with Russian PM Medvedev

Premier Li Keqiang noted that China and Russia will engage in frequent high-level visits and meetings when he held a telephone conversation with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on September 14.

China is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Russia and take the next round of regular meeting between Chinese premier and Russian prime minister and the prime ministers’ meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as an opportunity to jointly promote China-Russia relations and cooperation in all areas, advancing the common development of the two countries.

Medvedev noted that Russia and China enjoy a friendly relationship.

He is looking forward to attending the regular meeting with Premier Li and the prime ministers’ meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

He noted that Russia is actively preparing for successful meetings and believed that Russia-China relations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will see new developments with joint efforts of the two countries.
