Premier Li Keqiang said to rescue workers at the scene of the ferry accident: “We should learn from our previous experiences, and waste no time as we continue our search for any survivors - this is our top priority. There will be much more work so you will have a great burden on your shoulders. I believe you can do your utmost for this rescue operation.”
A passenger ship, carrying 458 people, capsized and sank at around 9:28 pm on June 1 in the Hubei section of the Yangtze River.
The Premier arrived at the scene of the accident early on June 2.
