Premier Li Keqiang visited the country’s largest wire harness manufacturing company located in Changchun city, Jilin province on April 9.
The corporation, turned from a state-owned enterprise, has a total of 7,500 employees and most of them come from nearby rural areas.
Premier Li is highly concerned of these migrant workers and asked a series of questions concerning their working conditions, including whether they have been adapted to the urban life in cities, their incomes, and the living conditions compared with that back at home.
The Premier also encouraged the migrant workers to learn more techniques.
Being equipped with more techniques means higher incomes, Li told them.
