The award presentation ceremony for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province on April 7, honoring groups and individuals for their outstanding performances during the Nanjing Youth Olympics.

President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang gave instructions to the ceremony.

Premier Li wrote in his instruction letter that the Games, focusing on innovation and the theme of “youth”, has spread China’s voice to the international community and has contributed to the world with the experience of organizing Olympics Games.

He called for the spirit of the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics to be carried forward and for more sports talents to be cultivated.

The second Summer Youth Olympic Games was held from Aug 16 to 28 in Nanjing.
