The pledge came out of a meeting between Premier Li Keqiang and Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoliy Tozik, who is here for the first meeting of the intergovernmental committee of cooperation between the two countries.

Li said China was ready to promote Chinese equipment for Belarus’ infrastructure construction, especially railway, and to support Chinese companies operating in Belarus’ industrial parks.

He added some industries in China are still in medium and low stages of development. China needs structural adjustment and innovation to improve the quality of Chinese products. Belarus has abundant advanced technological research, which gives a broad perspective on the two countries’ cooperation.

Tozik echoed Li saying China is a sincere friend and reliable partner of Belarus. It is a priority of Belarus’ foreign policy to develop the relations with China.

He welcomed Chinese participation in Belarus’ infrastructure construction and hoped more Chinese companies would invest.
