The State Council restructured members of the National Working Commission on Aging, according to a circular released on Oct 16.

Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan was appointed as the new director of the committee, with deputy directors Ma Xiaowei, director of the National Health Commission; Huang Shuxian, minister of Civil Affairs; Zhang Jinan, minister of Human Resources and Social Security; Jiang Xinzhi, vice-minister of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, and Ding Xiangyang, vice-secretary of the State Council. Other members are from departments and commissions of the State Council.

The group’s office will be seated at the National Health Commission, which will undertake its routine work.
