Updated: Aug 3,2018 11:20 AM

The State Council has decided to cancel 11 more administrative approval items to further simplify administration, according to a circular released on Aug 3.

The canceled items include approvals from central and local governments, such as employment permits for residents from Hong Kong, Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan in the Chinese mainland, project approvals for foreign investment in the transport sector, visas for ships’ commutes to fishing ports, record filings for establishing company branches, and announcement of withdrawing business licenses.

For six items that were established in accordance with laws and regulations, the State Council will submit them to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for amendment on the laws and regulations.

The State Council urged related departments to formulate and improve detailed oversight rules on business operations.
