The State Council released a circular on their decision to reshuffle the national government affairs openness leading group.

According to the circular, Yang Jing, state councilor and secretary-general of the State Council, was appointed director of the group, while Peng Shujie, deputy secretary-general of the State Council, is vice-director.

Members of the leading group are mainly senior officials from State Council departments and organs. Members also include Ren Xianliang, deputy director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, and Jiang Bixin, vice-president of the Supreme People’s Court.

The circular urged related department divisions to designate officials acting as liaisons between their departments and the leading group.

The leading group will hold meetings to push work forward, according to the circular.
