Data provided by several online travel agencies show most Chinese travelers are choosing destinations along the route of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, including Sri Lanka, Turkey, Russia and Iran.

The National Tourism Bureau projects that during the 5 year period ending in 2020, 150 million Chinese tourists will spend over $200 billion in Belt and Road countries.
