Beijing has officially started raising funds to support its hosting of the 2022 Winter Olympics.
A marketing program launched by the Games’ organizing committee aims to find sponsors and licensees to produce and sell derivative products. It’s also looking for enterprises that are experienced in handling ticket sales.
Meanwhile, applications for sponsorship will be formally accepted in March. The sponsors will be divided into four tiers, with the first tier being granted the longest marketing period, from 2017 to 2024. Experts estimate that the marketing value of the 2022 Games could exceed $1 billion.
