China is to ban the use of carfentanil and three related opioids from the beginning of March 2017. The four psychoactive substances, namely carfentanil, Furan fentanyl, Acrylamide fentanyl and oxalyl fentanyl will be added to the country’s list of controlled substances effective from March 1, 2017.
