China has sent $1.6 million in emergency relief aid to quake-stricken Afghanistan. The supplies will be distributed in 10 provinces. They include 20,000 blankets, 300 tents and 60 power generators.
A magnitude-7.5 earthquake struck Afghanistan on Oct 26, killing at least 115 people and injuring hundreds of others.
Two days after the quake, China’s Red Cross provided $100,000 in cash to the Red Crescent Society in Afghanistan.
