September ODI rose 5.2% y/y

China’s non-financial outbound direct investment, or ODI rose 5.2 percent from a year earlier to $10.3 billion in September. That’s according to China’s Ministry of Commerce on Oct 20.

For the first nine months of this year, Chinese enterprises have invested in 324 projects across multiple industries in 50 countries and regions. Investments into countries along the Belt and Road region totalled $12 billion from January to September, growing fast at 66 percent from last year.
