China’s high speed bullet train has made its debut at the Milan Expo and it’s been a hit with many of the visitors to the festival that continues until the end of October.

There are some of the reactions to the train that has been opening eyes in Italy.

China is showing off its bullet train — the CRH380A — at the ongoing Milan Expo.

The train was designed by China Southern Railway, features a streamlined shape, and runs at speeds of up to 486 kilometers per hour. The train has operated safely for over 300 million kilometers.

“When I sat in a bullet train in China the most amazing part is its speed. I’m also impressed with how punctual and comfortable it was. That was a very good experience,” said Stepano Castellotti, an Italian visitor.

Andrea Galasso, another Italian visitor said: “The Chinese train has more seats than those high-speed trains in Italy. And there’s more guarantee to the speed, which can reach up to a very high level.”

The operational length of railway in the Chinese mainland had reached 16 thousand kilometers by the end of 2014.

More than 10 thousand kilometers of railways are under construction. CSR has also established talks with more than 50 countries on railway projects.
