On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, State Councilor Yang Jiechi has met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The two sides exchanged views on the promotion of bilateral ties and major international and regional issues. They agreed that China and Germany should enhance high-level communication and boost cooperation in various fields.

Yang Jiechi also met with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu and India’s national security adviser Ajit Dorval.
