With the 2015 World Expo in Milan approaching soon in May, China is getting ready for the national showcase at the world’s biggest exposition. Among the creative events, the dance show “Steps of China” has just been confirmed as the in-residence performance at the China Pavilion.

Produced by the China Oriental Performing Arts Group, the dance show “Steps of China” will be performed at China Pavillion throughout the 2015 Milan Expo, between May and October. The group will also take on the responsibility of daily operations of cultural and recreational events of the China Pavilion. This marks the official partnership between 2015 Milan Expo and China Oriental Performing Arts Group.

“It’s a collective showcase of the best of Chinese songs and dances, featuring eight sections of performances by singers and dancers of 8 ethnic groups, including Han, Tibetan, Mongolian, Korean and Uygur,” said Gu Xin, president of China Oriental Performance Arts Group.

It’s not the first collaboration between the China Oriental Performing Arts Group and the World Expo. Back in 2010, the group produced two songs and dance shows for Shanghai World Expo, performing five days a week at the Expo Performance Center.
