According to IOC bidding criteria, the application answered all 192 questions in 14 topics, fully summarizing the bid concept, venues, event organization and media operations. Beijing also needs 154 guarantees, including ones from related governments, venues and hotels. The Chinese city has only one competitor — the Kazakh city of Almaty.
The IOC will send an evaluation team to Northeast China in March, and the host city will be chosen on July 31st in Kuala Lumpur. If Beijing wins, it will co-host the Games with Zhangjiakou, in neighboring Hebei province.
