China streamlines administrative approval procedures

China is on the way to further streamline its administrative approval procedures to facilitate business development. The message comes from a joint press conference organized by the State Council Information Office on Sept 23.

Officials from State Administration for Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and China Food and Drug Administration introduced new supervision and management mechanism of enterprises in China. They say the mechanism is an important step in the government’s construction of corporate credit system in the society.

“According to the decision by the State Council to reform the administrative approval system, the General Administration has insisted on delegation, regulation and governance. We have streamlined administrative approval procedures, improved regulations in process and afterwards, and strengthened the building of the corporate credit system.”

Officials also talked about new measures to strengthen supervision and management of food and medicine in China. Those include building brand integrity, crackdown on illegal actions in food and drug producing and dealing, setting up a specific supervision system, providing training to technical workers in these fields and introducing a quality blacklist.
