The world’s only panda triplets have opened their eyes for the first time.
Born in late July, the cubs are now 50 days old. The second-born was the first to take a peek at the world, followed by the youngest, and finally the eldest also caught up. Their carers say the triplets will be able to fully open their eyes 1 or 2 days later, once they become accustomed to the light and environment.
The cubs were born in a nature reserve in Guangdong. They’re yet to be named. A worldwide naming campaign which started from their one-month birthday is still running, and the chosen ones will be unveiled in October.
