State Council publishes inspection results for 2015

The State Council carried out the second round of supervision on major tasks clarified at last year’s Central Economic Work conference and in the Government Work Report.

Twenty cities and a similar number of counties that achieved fruitful results in implementing related policies received State Council praise. More incentive measures will be applied in these places this year.

Some local authorities have set up good examples in the following areas: expanding effective investment and promoting project construction; implementing administration streamlining and power delegation and service optimization; facilitating mass entrepreneurship and innovation; carrying out initiatives such as Internet Plus; promoting the upgrading of industrial structure; promoting reform of the medical and healthcare system; and promoting the development of new rural area.

A total of 1,456 people were held accountable for 382 problems concerning funds and land left unused as well as misconduct in fields of education, medical and healthcare, housing and social security.

The State Council and five ministries also had talks with leading officials of seven provincial governments’ functional departments and six municipal governments that had problems in related works.

The State Council will continue to plan and carry out the third round of inspection during 2016.
