Shenzhen landslide investigation team set up

The State Council set up an investigation team in Shenzhen to examine the causes of the Dec 20 landslide. The investigation should be based on scientific methods, objectivity and facts, the State Council ordered.

The team will be led by Jiang Daming, minister of land and resources, and team members include specialists and relevant officials from the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Supervision, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the State Administration of Work Safety, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, as well as the Guangdong provincial and Shenzhen municipal governments.

The investigation team consists of an expert group, working group and a liaison group. The expert group will provide personnel specialized in land resources, housing construction, safety, and disaster prevention and relief.

The investigation team ordered all relevant government bodies to work closely with them to achieve the mission.
