Chinese peacekeepers arrive in South Sudan

Officers of Chinese infantry battalion who came earlier to South Sudan welcome newly arrived troops at Juba airport in South Sudan, on April 8, 2015. The last batch of the Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion arrived in South Sudan on April 8, concluding the deployment of the first infantry battalion sent abroad for peacekeeping mission. The 130 peacekeeping infantrymen would join other 570 soldiers who have been put in place since the end of February, at a time when the mission area is gradually entering the rainy season.
