Karamay-Tacheng railway work begins

Railway workers in Karamay city begin laying tracks for the first phase of the Karamay-Tacheng line in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Sept 11, 2018. The railway will help Tacheng, the only city in Xinjiang with no rail lines, connect with other cities. With an investment of 4.67 billion yuan ($681.84 million), the whole line will be 272.79 kilometers, with the first phase occupying 99.67 km. [Photo/VCG]
