Longest suspension bridge in Three Gorges area achieves milestone

The construction of the main body of Fuma Yangtze River Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, has been completed in Wanzhou of Southwest China’s Chongqing on Nov 23. Now work will start on linking of steel girder and bridge deck pavement.

The bridge, with a total length of 2,030 meters and main span of 1,050 meters, linking Wanzhou of Chongqing and Lichuan of Central China’s Hubei province is scheduled to be put into operation in 2017.
