China donates 100 sets of computers to Cambodia

PHNOM PENH — China donated 100 sets of desktop computers to Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration (GDI) on Nov 3 in order to help the department work faster and more efficiently.

The handover ceremony was launched between Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Bu Jianguo and GDI’s Director-General Gen. Sok Phal.

Bu expressed her confidence that the computers would assist immigration officials to work faster and more efficiently.

She also hailed the immigration officials for their active work in safeguarding foreigners and cracking down on transnational crimes.

Sok Phal extended gratitude to the government and people of China for their contributions to the development of Cambodia, saying the computers were very useful for immigration officials in their daily tasks.
