China, Macedonia pledge more military cooperation

BEIJING — Defense Minister Chang Wanquan met with Sasho Stefanoski, State Secretary of Macedonian Defense Ministry on Dec 12, pledging to strengthen cooperation between two countries and two militaries.

Chang, also a State Councilor, said China and Macedonia witnessed sound development in various fields in recent years and have beneficial cooperation under the mechanism of cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.

Chang said military-to-military progress has become an important part of bilateral ties. China is willing to make joint efforts with Macedonia to promote bilateral ties and military-to-military ties.

Stefanoski appreciated China’s support to Macedonia in international affairs. Macedonia hopes that two sides can have more cooperation in personnel training and international peacekeeping.
