China’s crude oil output in H1 slightly up

BEIJING — China’s crude oil output edged up 1.7 percent year-on-year to 105.53 million tons in the first half, new data from the country’s top economic planner showed.

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said that China refined 235.34 million tons of crude oil during the first half, up 3.6 percent year-on-year.

Output of refined oil products rose 5 percent to 148.61 million tons, while consumption of refined products rose 3.2 percent to 135.68 million tons.

In the same period, natural gas output rose 3.8 percent to 65.6 billion cubic meters, while imports rose 3.5 percent to 29.3 billion cubic meters.

Consumption of natural gas rose 2.1 percent year-on-year to 90.6 billion cubic meters, according to the NDRC.
