Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended in Beijing Tuesday a Spring Festival tea party for wives of deceased non-CPC (Communist Party of China) members of the committee and celebrities.
Jia and other top political advisors shook hands with the ladies and wished them good health and a happy new year.
Wang Gang, vice chairman of the committee, said the CPPCC at various levels should respect and take care of them and also create conditions for them to live an easy life and to make further contributions.
