China's top political advisor meets Pakistani Senate deputy chairman

China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin meet in Beijing Tuesday with Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali, deputy chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), welcomed Jamali's visit to China, who led a delegation of senators from religious groups.

He said that China and Pakistan enjoy all-weather friendship. Since they established diplomatic relations 58 years ago, bilateral relations have withstood the changes of the international situation and domestic situation, and become a model for relations between states.

He said, at present, the Sino-Pakistani strategic cooperative partnership have maintained sound momentum and mutual-beneficial cooperation in various fields have been deepened.

China is willing to work together with Pakistan to strengthen friendly exchanges, deepen pragmatic cooperation and push bilateral relations to a new height, Jia said.

Jia said the CPPCC and the Pakistani Senate have maintained friendly relations and close contacts for many years, which has promoted the development of bilateral relations.

He hoped that the two organizations can continue to carry out multi-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields, in order to promote the bilateral strategic cooperative partnership.

Jia also introduced China's religious policies and life of the Muslims.

Jamali said that Pakistan and China and the peoples have a brotherly friendship. Pakistan thanked the Chinese side who has provided sincere assistance.

Pakistan is ready to work with the Chinese side to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields and promote bilateral relations, he said.

Jamali said that Pakistan firmly supports the one-China policy and oppose any separatist activities against China.
