China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin met Central African President Francois Bozize in Beijing on Friday, calling on joint efforts to expand bilateral substantial cooperation in various areas.
Hailing the progress of bilateral ties over the years, Jia said the two nations supported each other on major issues concerning respective interests and their political trust had been strengthened.
He appreciated the precious support Central Africa provided for China on issues concerning Taiwan and Tibet as well as the Beijing Olympics.
"The two countries have made remarkable progress in their cooperation in the areas of trade, education, public health and human resources, and maintained sound coordination in international affairs," said Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
China values its relations with Central Africa, and is ready to work closely with the country to expand bilateral concrete cooperation, he added.
Bozize voiced appreciation for China's aid to his country and spoke highly of China's contribution to boosting South-South cooperation.
Stressing the significance of bilateral ties, he said Central Africa is ready to enhance political and economic ties with China and welcomes more Chinese companies to invest in his country.
Central Africa will continue to support China's principled stance on issues concerning Taiwan, Tibet and Xinjiang, he added.
Bozize arrived here Wednesday for a week-long state visit to China. He will also visit southwest China's Yunnan Province and southern Guangdong Province.
