Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met in Beijing Wednesday with Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, who is here for a two-day visit to China and to attend the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games Wednesday evening.
Wen said China is ready to provide aid within its ability for the economic development of Jordan and he hoped the two sides will strengthen cooperation in such fields as economy and trade, agriculture, environmental protection and energy, to promote the friendly ties between the two countries towards new achievements.
Abdullah II said the success of the Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games have shown the beautiful prospect of China's development, adding Jordan will continue to devote itself to promoting the bilateral friendly exchanges and practical cooperation.
