The Party must improve its ability to select the right person and make proper use of the personnel as the country was focusing on development, reform and stability, he said.

To achieve the aim, the Party must unswervingly reform, improve and innovate its official selection system, he stressed.

Xi also asked officials to pay more attention to the grassroots work and attend to retired Party members, Party members with financial difficulties, and the livelihood of common people to bail them out of difficulties.
