Female, Han nationality, born in October 1954, a native of Beijing, she began to work in 1970, and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1972; obtained an undergraduate degree in Chinese Language and Literature, and a postgraduate degree in World Economics.
Worker, publicity staff member, and personnel staff member of Mentougou District Coal Mine in Beijing in 1970-1974; in 1974-1978, carried out cadre organization work in the District Bureau of Industry, and deputy secretary, and secretary of the District Committee of the Communist Youth League of China; survey and research group leader, deputy director, director, and deputy director-general of the publicity department in succession in the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China in 1978-1992; deputy director-general, director-general of the Department of Urban and Rural Work, and director-general of the General Office of All-China Women’s Federation in 1992-1998; secretary of the Secretariat of All-China Women’s Federation and member of its Leading Party Group, and concurrently director of the Institute of Women’s Studies in 1998-2003; head of the Discipline Inspection Group of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and member of the Leading Party Group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences starting from 2003.
